Posted: Jun 24, 2005 08:22:11 Just bought this device and have installed all bundled software. Can record a movie but cant play it for editing on the PC. Have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling. Have tested the camera/recorder in the control panel and it says all is ok. Cant find manufacturer for driver updates if there are any. Message in Arcsoft Videoimpression (bundled with it) says VMF Driver not found. Can anyone tell me what to do/where to find what I need to use this sucessfully please? |

Posted: Jul 27, 2005 05:42:57 Well seeing as you are only a kid, you probably did not read the ebay descroption. It clearly says on the box that an sd/mmc memory card is not included/needed. If you are only using the camera for a web cam then no, you do not need it. But I agree with you anyway, the dv182 is the worst video camera in the world. |

Posted: Dec 30, 2005 22:36:29 Well I can't believe that the menu is is Chinese! I can't change it cause I don't know what it means, it's in Chinese. When I try to use it there is actually English writing on the screen "No Card" and it doesn't work so it obviously needs a card. What sort of card? Where do I get one? How much is it worth? And is it worth buying one for this little piece of rubbish? lol Well it seems very flimsy. |

Posted: Apr 16, 2006 06:36:36 · Edited by: davec8783 The DV182 drivers from the original installation CD are here: http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?action=download&d riverid=655193 The digital video frame-rate and resolution of this camera is not adequate for dancing, skating, or other fast action sport videos. Works well for family photography, however. The digital files can easily be copied from the SD card (not included) to the computer hard drive. This is an awesome choice for the price, easy to use, fits in your pocket. |

Posted: Apr 16, 2006 06:53:28 · Edited by: davec8783 Here are a few more instructions after reading "me" above. The night mode only works for photos. The zoom only works for videos. When taking photos the date automatically appears in the lower right. So, you have to be sure to reset the date using the menu and arrows if you remove the batteries. Press the "menu" button in the center, then use the left and right arrows to scroll through the settings. If you make a change press the "menu" button again to save the change. Takes nice resolution photos if you use the menu to change to "super" photo resolution. The manufacturer's website is: http://www.hytechno.com/products/digital%20camera/dv182.htm |

Posted: May 21, 2006 04:11:36 A teacher at the school where I work has just bought a DV182. However she only has Macs in her classroom. Am I right in telling her that it only works with PCs, not Macs? |

Posted: Jun 21, 2006 08:33:42 I have just bought a Digigr8 3.1 DV182. I want to get a memeory card for it. The manual indicates an MMC compatible SSD card. All I can find are MMC cards or SSD cards. Is there such a thing as an MMC comatible SSD card, or if not which card should I get ? |

|
Posted: Jun 25, 2006 00:04:04 Does anyone have an electronic copy of the manual for the DV182. I was thinking I would be able to easily get this with a simple google search, or going to manufacturers website. No where to be found. Your assistance will be much appreciated. |

Posted: Oct 5, 2006 12:24:12 · Edited by: stewartje The Digigr8 is a very sofisticated little camera. It can take pictures in full sunlight on inside with lamp light. The problem is it is NOT automatic, you have to set the exposure control. This is not covered in the book that came with mine. The exposure control is the right arrow button on the button panel. When the camera is ready to take pictures, you push the right most button and the screen shows the exposure level. Use the up and down buttons to increase and decrese the exposure. At -1.5 you can take pictures in bright sunlight, at 0.0 you get good pictures in normal light, at +1.5 you can take pictures indoors. There are several setting between and some experimenting is required to get the setting you need. The screen changes with the setting so you can see the effect of the exposure control |

Posted: Oct 5, 2006 12:25:25 It is NOT automatic |
