I have a Panasonic 2000; I presume this does NOT work with that unit? Also, do you provide some kind of instructions?

Hi, this is a hack do-it-yourself. What we know is included in the description. I make no guarantees on your model, but it has been successfully tested on the 4000 and 5000 series of ReplayTV. Feel free to provide feedback about this later.
