Are there any drivers available for this unit to work with a PC? I picked one up at a local hamfest, and some keys don't work, while others do. I took it apart and cleaned the contacts to the ribbon cable, but even then it was flaky and erratic. Having read your site, I'm wondering if there aren't any drivers, since it apparently isn't compatible with all devices.

Infrared Receivers for the WebTV do exist that connect to the PS/2 port. This makes your keyboard in to a PC based keyboard.

Actually, it came with an IR receiver that plugged into the PS/2 port. (It's an 8630WR.)

Since I've seen on your site that the SWK-8630 keyboard doesn't always work as expected depending on what you're hooking it to, I was thinking that it's output might be something that needed a driver.

Thanks.

No driver is necessary. You can buy a WebTV keyboard from us - Model SWK-8630 and try that out if you want:

I just bought one of the SWK-8630 keyboard from Tekgems. It doesn't have a delete key. It does have a key labeled "call server" that does nothing on a PC. Anybody have an idea on how to get this keyboard to work with a delete key? It's pretty useless in XP without it...thanks

Never mind. Figured it out with the help of MS Word.....the delete key is actually the right-side Ctrl key.

BTW - don't expect to type with any kind of speed on this keyboard - it drops charcters like crazy if you go even at a medium speed.
