My SK-7100 mouse only wokrs for about 5 seconds then cuts out. It acts like th keyboard stops transmitting. If I stop then restart it picks right back up but only for a few seconds again.

Current drivers are installed?

There are two versions of drivers here. Which one are you using? Have you tried the other?

I am using the version 4.1 from Lite-on's website. Haven't tried those. I will give them a shot and let you know.

BTW - My video camera picks up infrared so I know the keyboard is transmitting fine. There are no IRQ conflicts.

No Luck with the other drivers. They all work, but act them same.

I tried using the serial connection for the mouse, it acts the same.

Thanks for the effort! I don't suppose you know where I can get Driver or software for the sk-1000 remote that came bundled with it? I have only been able to find Windows 9x versions and I am running 2000pro.

Thanks again,

Hey. I have the exact same problem. The mouse on my Sk-7100 works 5-8 seconds. After that it is like there is an conflict, but win xp says it works fine... When i update the drivers the pointing device works again in a some seconds. The mouse on my keyboard worked perfect on my old kt-133 motherboard, but not on my new Nforce2 ultra 400. Which motherboard are you using? Maby it is a common problem?

Hi,

I had the same problem. It began after I built my own computer and switched the SK-7100 over to the new computer. May have something to do with newer motherboards.

SOLUTION that worked for me: switched over to USB by buying a DUAL PS/2 to USB adapter (I also used an active USB extension cable.)

Only problem I've had since then is a couple times at startup it didn't work for about 10 seconds.

So now I have a question, what can you tell me about the SK-1000 remote that I've just seen today for the first time?

Thanks.

Gary

What is the SK-1000 remote?

You can get the v.4.1 driver from Lite-on for the SK-7100 airboard at their website's driver download area:
and selecting 'keyboard / mouse' and then 'sk-7100'.

The SK-1000 remote transmits through the SK-7100 IR Receiver. It may work through the IR Receivers of other airboard models as well. I say that because I have been unable to find SK-1000 specific drivers.
