Posted: Mar 15, 2003 16:38:00 Greetings, I have an older laptop with non-cardbus support, therefore it’s limited to 16 bit PCMCIA cards. I found an older MegaHertz (by US Robotics) PCMCIA card for it but am unable to find the network dongle. It’s a US Robotics Megaherts XJEM 3288 PCMCIA non-cardbus card. It’s a LAN/Modem combo. The 28.8 modem half of it has a pop-out xjack so that no dongle is required for the 28.8 modem but the other half, the 10mbs network, has no dongle. Can you help me locate a connector for this card? I know that the connector is about 9/16” long (A little over a half inch) and has about 10-15 pins for connection. I don’t remember what the original dongle looked like, not sure if it was about 2” long with a standard RJ45 female connection or if it was a 6’ cable with a male RJ45 end. If you can help me locate the dongle replacement for this combo card it’d be appreciated. Thanks, |

Posted: Mar 15, 2003 16:38:14 · Edited by: Admin Hi, I found some information about it here: http://support.3com.com/infodeli/tools/nic/xjem3288.htm Good luck finding a dongle for it. Its probably cheaper to find another 16-bit PC Card that will work. You can find many on eBay that run the 10BT. Thanks. |
