Hi Liz - Thanks for writing. The ones that fit into phone jacks are the modem dongles.

We have two cables.

Here is the link for the dial-up 56k cable: http://tekgems.com/Products/tg-3com-3ccfem556-daa-cbl.htm

The ethernet dongle for that model is here: http://tekgems.com/Products/tg-3com-07-0337-002.htm

Thanks.

Hi-
Trying to locate a dongle for a 3com modem card: 3c-562d/3c563d. Trying to find the telephone connector, not the lan connector. Do you have this? Thanks!

Yes, and also emailed 3com support. Only thing I got from them is RJ45/10BaseT pinout description - that I can find anywhere on the net.

What I really need is the dongle connector pinout description for TP connection (ie. where RJ45 pins 1,2,3 and 6 are plugged on the connector)

Thanks

They actually _know_, but don't want to give infomation ("for internal use only" they said...) - surprising, for a 10-year old card, for which they do not provide dongle any more...

My only hope is that someone that have the dongle take the time to check the wires and post... I left messages on comp.hardware and comp.networks... but no more luck there so far :(

OK, you asked for it:

Looking at the top of the connector, with the rj-45 wire exiting to the right:

1 Orange (Pin 6 on rj-45)
2 Blue (pin 2 on RJ-45)
3 NC (not connected)
4 LED (gnd)
5 NC
6 NC
7 LED (pos)
8 NC

Now, The bottom row:
1 Orange/White (Pin 3 on RJ-45)
2 Blue/White (Pin 1 on RJ-45)
All others NC

I don't happen to have the modem connection handy, but I "think" it could be 8 top and 8 bottom (just a semi-educated guess...

Hello,

I'm in trouble too ...

I'm deseperatly looking for a pinout description of the 3COM DONGLE
100B-TX FOR Megahertz 3C575 or 3C574 or 572BT or 556B or 656B from dongle connector to RJ45.

I need the dongle connector pinout description. Where RJ45 pins 1,2,3 and 6 are plugged on the pcmcia 15 pin connector.

This is because I already have a conector to pcmcia, but in the other end just the 15 wires...

My hope is that someone that have the dongle take the time to check the wires and post...

Thanks

Hi,

I dont know if you will find this useful, but here goes...

I took apart a 3c589d pcmcia card which also has a 15 pin dongle connector, and this is what the result was. (pin 1 to the left pin 15 to the right facing the front of the dongle interface on the card)

RJ45 pin 1 -> 3c589d pin 12
RJ45 pin 2 -> 3c589d pin 13
RJ45 pin 3 -> 3c589d pin 14
RJ45 pin 6 -> 3c589d pin 15

this worked for me, hope this helps.

Hello!
My card is 3C589D (Dell Ethernet card 10base-t/10base-2 by 3com)

Actually, i know, it is the COMBO card, yep?

I found there pinout for RJ-45, but i am looking for pinout to BNC connector..

Can you help me in this trouble?
And, i hope, this ORIGINAL dongle have the "Link/Act" LEDs?
Can you tell me, where can i locate this "pin"'s?

Thnx, Michael.
