Hello,

I recently purchased a VIA VT6421A IDE & Serial ATA RAID PCI Controller Card from your website and just recieved it the other day.

I installed the card into my system and then booted into Windows to install the drivers.

This is where I am running into problems. The setup program will not run, and I therefore cannot install the drivers on my PC.

Each time I run the setup utility, I get the following error message:

Error Number: 0x80040702
Description: Failed to Load dll: viasetup.dll

Setup will now terminate.

Please note that I receive this error from both the mini cd provided with the PCI card as well as from the download on the support link.

I'm running Windows XP SP2 which is fully patched. I've also ran the installer on other systems and received the same errors.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can install the drivers for my new SATA card? Otherwise, it's just a piece of plastic.

I just found the answer I was looking for. I guess I'm just impatient.

For those of you looking for a VIA based SATA card that is not expensive, works and is available worldwide I have just tested and installed it. Let Windows search the CD for drivers and use xtreme boot maker to create a bootable usb stick.

A customer provided a link for newer drivers if the ones on the CD are failing you.

The driver files you have on the CD for the RAID card and the ones that can be downloaded from your site do not install properly. So I downloaded them from a different site. I just wanted to let you know, so you can upload a noncorrupted set or something. I am using windows XP and downloaded them here:
