Posted: Sep 13, 2006 13:09:04 Thank you TekGems for this forum. I am definately the last to know. I have been using relist - relist still works ... so I had no idea until I got Garys email. This place was definately a light in a very dark tunnel of confusion. Thank you! |

Posted: Sep 13, 2006 13:11:32 OH and after 5 years of !SOLD - I am one totally lost sheep without a flock and shepard. Nothing compares to this software. I have tried to obtain the source code to pickup where Bill left off... but no luck with making contact. |

Posted: Sep 18, 2006 11:29:52 I'm hoping we can continue to use the Current Auctions, Completed Auctions, Sales Orders, and Inventory parts of SOLD, at least for a while. I'd already started using TurboLister for listings. But I had customized my SOLD (using a linked Access database) to get a list of which of my inventory items were not currently listed. Anyone have comments about how accessible Blackthorne & other Auction Mgmt systems are, with respect to customizing based on their databse info? With SOLD, we could at least get into the tables easily, to link to other databases for custom info. |

Posted: Sep 18, 2006 11:53:54 Last time I checked Blackthorne, they did not use a flat table for their data. To conserve database size, they comparmentalized certain data fields into their own tables. You could make a query that joins all the different tables and transfer that query to an outside database to make into a flat table (where all the fields are in one table). |
