At this point, I think we are entitled to at least a one month extension of SOLD V or even a one month partial refund of SOLD V. As of June 13th, SOLD V has not been functioning according to the terms of service we are paying for. What we pay to Bill entitles us to features of the software including osCommerce stores and Paypal transaction downloads.

I feel the same. I can't imagine that no one has figured it out in a month.

Does anywhere here have a oscommerce store with Sold's hosting? I have been unable to access my admin and ftp access to it since the crash..anyone else have this problem?

I added on to my original question from 6/13 about Paypal not working. Gary responded that he had no more information on it and didn't get an estimate when it should be working again.

I bought a $20 PHP script that I can use to do the Paypal Download Transactions myself. Its been over a month with very little communication and I really can't wait any more for a fix.

I have not been able to access the ftp or admin since the crash either. I am very, very upset right now. Not sure if they even have a backup of everything on their server. I honestly don't think Bill should launch this web store service if he doesn't even have a back up plan, or don't know how to do it. I am not sure if I should stick with Sold. Relying on a software that someday may not be supported is simply dangerous.

Hello Tekgems. May I ask what script are you using to download PayPal transactions? I've been searching for something like that since SoldV broke. Are you still able to match the payments to the actual order in sold with this script? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Dave

Hi, I am using a script by BelaHost.com - http://www.belahost.com/files.php - the script itself is free, but I paid the customization fee to get the data into the mySQL database.

The second step is to install myODBC on your computer. Then using Microsoft Access create a linked table to your remote mySQL table where your Paypal transactions are held.

Then you create an "Append" query in Microsoft Access to take the data from your mySQL table to SOLD V.

I am still working on it myself, but should be done by tomorrow. If you use the belahost.com script, feel free to e-mail me for the "Append" query.
