Posted: Jan 28, 2006 15:14:31 Can anyone let me know if SOLD V, is still an ongoing concern? I downloaded the software a few days ago and have been testing it out. The program is better than some of the others out there, and I would consider purchasing. This appears to be the only forum online, and reading the comments it would appear, SOLD V is probably in trouble. If anyone can supply an update or an opinion I would be grateful. Thank you in advance. |

Posted: Jan 29, 2006 02:16:05 Hi AWOL - what about SOLD V are you concerned about? I use SOLD V every day and it is a vital part of tracking and processing eBay sales. At this time, I don't recommend for listing. |

Posted: Jan 30, 2006 08:53:24 Thanks for the reply tekgems, no concerns except I read through this board and some of the comments made, indicated that SOLDV could be in trouble. I found from testing that the software appears very robust. Not tried listing, just downloaded our current auctions into Sold and testing the back end. We have been using AW2000 of which we are having stability issues, running on a network of 4 PC's. Which has forced us to look at other systems. |

Posted: Jan 30, 2006 09:02:32 I think SOLD V is the best deal out there. I use it for everything except listing (Turbolister). The rumors about SOLD V being in trouble have been floating around for awhile, but I've yet to see anything that indicates they're true. Many people were pretty disappointed when they took down their forum and I think that fueled the rumor mill a little. So far though I've seen nothing to indicate they're in trouble. Like I said, I feel it is a terrific program - except maybe for the listing aspect. Plus, it's a great deal compared to what the cost of other programs I've seen. Anyway, that's my two cents. Bill |

Posted: Jan 30, 2006 09:21:00 > running on a network of 4 PC's. SOLD V is not designed to be shared across multiple PCs. I will attempt to do this myself as I am sure you will try. :) I think as long as you compact/repair the auctionmgr.mdb in regular intervals (beginning of day or end of day?) you should minimize database and/or data corruption. |

Posted: Jan 31, 2006 08:28:43 Thanks for your comments Bill, I agree the program has a lot of features. tekgems, I now have the program running on the network in tandem with AW2000, so far no problems with SOLD. All the usual issues with networking errors from AW2000. If Sold continues to perform we will move over after two weeks. Thanks for your input. |
