Posted: Aug 2, 2005 09:08:39 Hello, I was wondering if there was anywhere I could see the software (or a manual for it) that comes with this box to make it work with Skype. (I am not talking about Skype itself.) In particular, I am wondering if it minimizes to an icon in the tray in Windows or if it requires a window to be displayed all the time. Thank you. |

Posted: Aug 2, 2005 09:10:07 Hi Sean - there is no "software" per say. What comes on the CD is the driver for the device itself. Think of the device as a telephone switch when you press the star button. When in analog mode, the phone is a regular phone. When in digital mode, the phone is like a computer headset. |

Posted: Aug 9, 2005 14:15:17 Hi, http://tekgems.com/Products/et-17306-con-kmu-30a.htm There isn't a unified protocol where you can just dial-out to an ip number to start a conversation. You still have to use an intermediary program or service to make the connection. This particular devices SKYPE so it should let you do what you want to a degree. You would dial a SKYPE number though not an IP address. |
