I am having several problems with my new video card. First, when the computer boots I get a "video error" beep error code. Next, I get an error stating that there is an IRQ conflict. When the computer boots into Windows, I am unable to enable the "TV out" feature. Windows 98 barely recognizes the card, but Windows 2000 seems to have some native drivers that work ok. The TV-out functionality is recognized, but there aren't any options to enable it.

Hi, there is not much information on the KT512Kx32 chipset. I suggest you look in your Device Manager, Hardware and figure out what other piece of hardware your video card is conflicting with. You can either remove that other piece of hardware or manually assign it a different IRQ. Work on that first before you try to figure out the TV out functionality. You should have a CD driver that installs what you require for the TV Out feature.

The only device I have installed is the video card. I removed all other cards, moved it to each PCI slot, and I still get the error. I cannot manually assign a different IRQ in my BIOS.

So, what IRQ is conflicting? If you view "Resources by Type" in Device Manager, Hardware you can see what other item is using the same IRQ.

It doesn't list anything in Windows as having a conflict.
