Hello

Not sure if you can help, but anyways, i have got a packard bell fast media remote control and ir receiver. However the ir receiver is built into the mouse meaning it connects to the ps/2 port in the computer and not the serial com port. I have tried various programs to see if it will work, but it doesn't have the option to detect it only com1 to 8. however it manages to control the movement of the mouse and the mouse buttons (must be a default), however the other buttons for media etc do not work. The orginal software works only on win 98 and below, it says general protection failure in pbremote.dll. I am an XP user and was wondering if i there is any software out that that can help.

Hi, we're not familiar with the product you are using. since it has a ps/2 port connection, its not a product we sell or support.

Hi, I have info on how to construct your own serial or USB UIR wich may solve your problem, email me at Dranod@yahoo.com.au if you are interested.
