Add additional devices to any computer with this RAID
controller card. It features the VIA VT6421A chipset, compliant with Serial ATA Specification Rev 1.1, supports external flash for BIOS expansion and RAID functions. This PCI card has two Serial ATA connectors (one internal, one external connector) with data transfer rates of up to 150 MB/second and one internal
UDMA/133 IDE connector!

For XBOX 360 users, this card is the VT6421A (6421A) chipset. The only difference between the VT6421A and VT6421L is that the VT6421A requires MTKFlash (flash) to hexedit the port I/O's. If you use Xtreme Boot Maker, XBM will do this for you automatically.

For those of you looking for a VIA based SATA card that is not expensive, works and is available worldwide I have just tested and installed it. Let Windows search the CD for drivers and use xtreme boot maker to create a bootable usb stick.

    VIA v5.80g drivers (from 19 Nov 2009): VIA Arena VT6421A drivers (works with OS mentioned above, as well as Vista 32-bit and 64-bit) - Yes, download driver includes software that works with Windows Vista 32-bit and Vista 64-bit.

    What is the difference between the VT6421A and VT6421L chipset? The VT6421L card can flash the Samsung drive and "bad-flash" an MS28 without soldering.

    If you want the VT6421L chipset instead, we sell the VT6421L chipset PCI card separetely.

    The VT6421L has been out of production since Dec 2006. If you find a retailer selling a "VT6421L" please verify as it is most likely VT6421A chipset.

    Got this as a result of reading that it worked well with the ms28 xbox 360 softmod. Good cheap PCI SATA card with the VIA chipset. I was able to flash my sammy without any problems although I was surprised there was no setup/installation booklet included. The driver CD is a mini and may not fit in all drives.

    In my search for a VIA VT6421 card I came up with nothing in sweden and no good deals in europe. Found a link to Tekgems and ordered with the most expensive shipment. Took 5 days from ordering until it arrived to my door.
    A swedish guy sell these now but Tekgems with shipping is still cheaper!

    Yes, it depends on your version of Vista. Some customers have to download drivers from VIA web site, while others can use under Vista with native drivers.

    My package came in a good time. It arrived in one piece :D. Flashed Hitachi-LG V59. Slax would not work with this card but the wire trick was just fine. I flashed with no problems. Although the sata cable is a bit short.

    Look at the product discription...
    It contains the driver disc, a sata cable and the card itself.
    Thats all you get. Not sure if it works with that drive tho.

    You can always use the included cable and just hook it up to the internal port on the card. You can connect to a DVD drive this way without having to buy additional cables. We could include an eSATA cable with the product, but that would raise the price for all customers -- and not all customers need an eSATA cable.

    I've been using this PCI Card for a long time and it was working fantastic but I recently connect another SATA to the card (both internal) and I tried to change some information between them... but it doesn't stop giving error messages and disconnecting (like an USB) one of the HD... I've tried the last driver but it seem to not work, does anybody know something?

    This card worked great for my Xbox 360 with a Benq drive. I did not use the included driver cd, but just used this one and it installed fine, and flashed no problems with Iprep 1.06:

    We prefer SATA2 for 300/s facility. VT6421 does not even support BIOS update, and via F6 windows driver support.
    SATA2 300/s works great on our 3Terabyte HDD.

    I have a hp pavillion that runs vista and i'm trying to flash my samsung ms 25 I also have a blaster 360 so i won't have to open up my 360 everytime I want to do a firmware update!!! Let me know if it will work with vista and what kind of software i nee d to download to flash the drive. I know that some of it's not compatible with my computer, like xtreme bootmaker. Will this sata card boot into dos or am i going to have to try to make my own?

    I Must Admit That Your Service Is Great, When I Ordered This Card It Arrived In Less That 48 Hours, But Unfortunately The Card Is A Piece Of Dinosaur Manure!     Many customers have used this card successfully for repairing or upgrading XBOX 360. Your motherboard may or may not work. There is a better chance if your motherboard chipset is VT6421A or VT6421L.

    hey can anyone give me some advice on how to install this card so i can flash my benq drive... i downloaded drivers off of different websites tried to install the driver so that the card would be recognized in windows xp but i would just check device manager and it would come up with a yellow question mark next to a RAID controller even if i pointed xp to install it to the direct driver any advice??? please lemme know asap..

    I recently got this card and even more recently got an email from TekGems saying that some were malfunctioning and not reading dvd drives connected to them. Mine was one of the lot even though I have flashed mine already. they are not idiots, most likely they got the faulty shipment.
    However I did not use this post to discourage ordering this. They are in the process of replacing the entire lot free of charge. This is a great site and product, one lot was faulty and that is not TekGems fault.

    Very good product from a very good seller. I received a defective card a while back without knowing it, and a day after I got it the seller dropped me an e-mail warning me of this - and it turns out that I ended up with a defective one. So I'm thinking, oh ... , now what? But seller sent me a replacement right away at no charge and sent me a label to send back the defective via card. The VIA card has treated me very well, I have flashed mine and a buddies Xbox with no problems and am very content! Thanks tekgems!!

    I am very happy with my purchase. I Purchased the VIA 6421a Sata card in order to flash my BenQ Xbox 360 DVD drive. I tried several methods without the sata card but nothing worked. Shipping was really quick, recieved within 3 days and instal was just plug and play. If your looking to flash a BenQ Drive this is the card you need. Just install and let windows install the drivers, I did not use the drivers disk that came with the device. Just Plug n Play, connect the sata cable to the xbox 360 drive and run Jungle Flasher, thats it. I did this on Windows Vista 32bit. Flashed with Jungle Flasher. The card I recieved is not the Blue one you see on the site, I ordered the blue and revieved a green one with 3 sata ports and an IDE plug. The only issue I have with this Sata card is the placement of the external sata port, its too high making it very difficult to plug in a sata cable and even more difficult to remove. Dont be cheap. Buy this, it works.

    Best 360 compatible pci card EVER!! Not only does it do what everyone else says it works on lite-on to and thats the reason i bought this cause in all the above comments i did not see lite-on, so to make everything clear this is a have to have product for flashing and works on lite-on also.

    Just Flashed my xbox 360's ben q drive using this PCI card, the iextreme LT .bin file to replace the firmware on the disc drive and jungle flasher software. Works great with all my burned games!!! Recommend this if you are planning on doing similar procedure.
