Are these eSATA ports?

Internal connections are iSATA, external connections are also iSATA. The text in the product description just means that the connectors are externally accessible, NOT that these are external SATA (eSATA). Just the same, that is OK as the LaCie external SATA cases and SATA controllers are iSATA all the way. There are competitive products which are eSATA, but those have molded cables. This product has detachable cables (not supplied). Buyer's choice on this issue.
