The Desert Trail Shortly after rodeo star John Scott (portrayed with brusque flair by John Wayne) wins a local competition, an event official is robbed and coldly murdered. Scott, along with his best friend, the gambler Kansas Charlie (played by famed character actor Eddy Chandler), are framed for the terrible crime. The wrongfully accused duo immediately leave town to give themselves a chance to prove their innocence.
