Charles Laughton stars as the cruel and ruthless Captain Kidd, one of the most notorious pirates to have ever sailed the high seas. Against his better judgement, King William III of England enlists Kidd and his brood to ensure the safe passage of a treasure ship from India. Of course, Kidd has other ideas and Adam Mercy (Randolph Scott) is the man who must bring him to justice.
